† Tuition includes: Marquette University and University of Western Cape fees (lab fees excluded); orientation; and cultural events in Cape Town. Tuition bills will be mailed from the Marquette University Office of the Bursar.

Housing is billed by Marquette University.

‡ Drivers and vans are provided to transport students to and from classes and service learning placements.

Additional costs may include: Airfare, meals, books, passport and visa, and personal expenses. For estimates view the budget sheet.

Student Financial Aid

All students interested in financial aid must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid. For additional instructions, visit Marquette Central.

Marquette students can apply Marquette scholarships and federal and state financial aid to the South Africa Service Learning Program. Check with the Office of Student Financial Aid to confirm how your aid package, including scholarships, will apply to your experience abroad.


Non-Marquette Students

Non-Marquette students will be billed for tuition, housing, transportation in-country and insurance through Marquette or your home institution, if special arrangements have been made. Please check with your home institution to verify their process and procedures.

Student Financial Aid
Check with your home institution’s financial aid office to see if your financial aid package will apply to this program. If this is not an option, you may apply for aid through Marquette's Office of Student Financial Aid. You must also complete a FAFSA and a Visiting Student Consortium Agreement, which can be obtained from:
