I have a conflict on one of the days of the virtual sessions. Can I still participate?

We strongly encourage students who are interested in RISE to attend all the sessions. Full participation in the program will allow students to gain a small cohort community. If you are unable to attend all of the sessions, please contact Jessica Sol√≥rzano in the Office of Engagement and Inclusion at

I still have more questions about RISE.  Who should I contact?

If you have questions about the program itself, please contact Clara Dwyer, Assistant Director in the Center for Engagement and Inclusion, at

Do I have to participate in both the virtual and in-person parts of RISE to be included as part of the cohort?

We recognize that there may be scheduling conflicts to participate in all portions of RISE, however, we strongly urge all students to do their best to be in attendance both virtual sessions and all three days of the in-person program.  Full participation will offer opportunity to develop community and get questions answered before Orientation.

Im living on campus in the fall. When can I move into my residence hall if I participate in RISE?

Students who participate in RISE are eligible for early drop off of their belongings to their assigned residence hall on Monday, August 24th between 9 AM and 3 PM.  The students' residence hall must be specified on the RISE registration form. Please note: This is only a time to drop off belongings. Students will be able to return for move-in on Wednesday, August 25th after checking out of RISE at 12 PM.
