There are many reasons to contact The Employee Assistance Program (EAP). The EAP can provide work-life services, short-term counseling, referrals and resource identification. Services provided are kept confidential.

The EAP is a benefit for all Marquette University employees, spouses, and dependent children. The EAP is 100% Confidential.

DISCOVERY BENEFITS– Flexible Spending Account (FSA) / Health Savings Account (HSA)

Discovery Benefits is the university's FSA and HSA Administrator.  They sent FSA and HSA debit cards to employees who have newly enrolled in this benefit for 2020.  If you re-enrolled, the cards you currently have are active for a total of 4 years.  See the expiration date on the front of the card.   If you did not receive a debit card or need an extra card, you can contact Discover Benefits at 866-451-3399 or create and log into your account at

UMR – Medical Benefit

UMR mailed ID cards to employees who newly enrolled or who made changes to the medical plan.  If you did not make any changes, you can use the ID card you currently have.  Employees should receive their new ID cards by January 15th. If you do not receive new cards, please double check and update your address on MyJob if necessary. You can also order a new card by contacting UMR at 800-826-9781 or creating an account on Once the account is created you can print off a copy of your ID.  The UMR card is for both medical and prescription drug coverage.

DELTA DENTAL – Dental Benefit

Delta Dental mailed new ID cards to employees who newly enrolled or who made changes to their dental coverage for the 2020 plan year.  Employees should receive their new cards by January 15th.  If you do not receive new cards, please double check and update your address on MyJob if necessary. You may also order a new card by contacting Delta Dental at 800-236-3713 or online at  ID cards will not list the names of the covered dependents.

VSP – Vision Benefit

VSP does not issue ID cards.  As of 1/1/2020 VSP will be using your MU Employee ID number rather than the last four digits of your Social Security Number as your unique identifier and as the means of provider eligibility verification. On 1/1/2020, Marquette University’s prescription drug plan will begin using Postal Prescription Services (PPS), a subsidiary of The Kroger Co. (parent company of Pick ‘N Save and Metro Market), as its mail order pharmacy. This change only affects Marquette University’s mail order pharmacy. Your prescription drug coverage will continue to be managed by Navitus.

How to transfer existing medications

Most of your information will automatically transfer to PPS via an Open Refill Transfer process. This includes your name, member ID number and prescriptions with refills remaining. However, certain prescriptions cannot be transferred:

  • Controlled medications.
  • Prescriptions with no refills remaining.
  • Prescriptions written more than 12 months ago. This applies even if you have refills remaining.

Certain information cannot be legally transferred. This includes credit card numbers and drug allergies. Even if your prescriptions were able to be transferred from the previous mail order pharmacy, you will need to call PPS Customer Service at 1-800-552-6694 to obtain your new PPS Rx #(s) on file to link to your web account in order to complete your registration. Therefore, you will need to register with PPS before you can begin using this benefit. You can register starting 1/1/2020. Prescription refill orders can be requested through PPS beginning 1/1/2020.

Please allow 10 - 14 calendar days from the day you submit your order to receive your medicine(s). Prescriptions should be ordered from the current mail order pharmacy if they are needed within the first 2 weeks after the 1/1/2020 transition date.
