Exercise Science

Dr. Bollaert joined the Program in Exercise Science in the Department of Physical Therapy in 2018. Rachel graduated from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health & Human Physiology in 2012. She graduated with her doctorate in Kinesiology & Community Health from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) in 2017. She then completed a one-year postdoctoral fellowship at the Beckman Institute for Advanced Science & Technology at UIUC.

Rachel's graduate and postdoctoral research focused on the examination and promotion of physical activity behavior and fitness and the associations with brain health in persons with multiple sclerosis. Rachel’s teaching experiences include courses on physical activity & health and exercise & sport psychology.
