Where do you begin when thinking about your future?  Here are a few ideas . . .

  • Prayer.
  • Gifts/talents.
  • Personal limitations.
  • Why volunteer?
  • What does a program offer me?
  • What do I have to offer a volunteer program?
  • What questions do I ask?

There are many questions that you could be asking when thinking about your future and that is where the journey begins. To dream is a part of the vision that God has in store for us, and to act on those dreams is where we come to know God's part in our life. What ever you choose to do with your life, one thing remains important - to stay happy. Below is a prayerful statement that may help you focus on what is important:

Nothing is more practical than finding God,
that is, than falling in love in a quite absolute, final way.
What you are in love with, what seizes your imagination, will affect everything.

It will decide what will get you out of bed in the morning,
what you do with your evenings, how you spend your weekends,
what you read, who you know, what breaks your heart,
and what amazes you with joy and gratitude.

Fall in love, stay in love,
and it will decide everything.
