Dr. Sara Burmeister, Ph.D.

Educational Policy and Leadership
Dr. Burmeister joined the College of Education in 2015 after 34 years in K-12 education, starting as a high school English and Speech teacher and serving in a variety of administrative roles, including the last 14 years as a superintendent in the Oak Creek-Franklin Joint School District. She has served as an adjunct faculty member at Cardinal Stritch and Marquette University at various times over the past 15 years. In 2009, Dr. Burmeister received the Marquette University College of Education EDPL Achievement Award.
