Teacher Education and Certification
The College of Education provides the professional course sequence, administers admission and retention in its programs and field experiences, and recommends for certification.
Marquette offers certification in elementary/middle education (grades 1-8) and middle/secondary education (grades 6-12). Students who complete the teacher education program graduate with a double major in education and an academic content area.
In addition to the unique double major requirement for all teacher education students, our program also provides school-based field experiences beginning freshman year.
