Jasmine Haines, PA-C: Postgraduate Fellow

Jasmin HainesI believe my personal experience with Viral Meningitis during a South Dakota family vacation when I was 6 started my curiosity about medicine and Emergency Medicine in particular. I had spent my undergraduate career shadowing various specialties, but I always seemed to find myself truly enjoying all of my time in the Emergency Department. After receiving my Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, I chose to pursue Marquette's Post Graduate Program to continue developing my skills and journey towards becoming a competent, well-rounded provider.

I found EM is the specialty that fits my personality. I enjoy the fast-paced environment and the unpredictability of each day that challenges me to apply a broad range of knowledge and skill sets. Through my experience, the best results occur when different perspectives come together to accomplish one goal. The Emergency Department has a strong foundation of collaboration between all health care personnel to provide the best patient-centered care possible. The best advice I received during my clinical rotations was "Be sure to choose a job you truly feel you fit." For me, Emergency Medicine is that job.
