Originally from Random Lake, Wisconsin, Sharla attended UW-Madison, receiving a bachelor’s degree in nutrition and dietetics. She then received her Master of Physician Assistant Studies at Marquette University.

Before PA school, she was a CNA in a memory care unit and an emergency department technician in Milwaukee, where her passion for emergency medicine began.

When she’s not in the ER, you can find her going for a skydive, playing a game of spike ball, or enjoying a lakeside stroll.
