The Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) and Animal Resource Center (ARC) oversee the university’s animal programs, facilities and procedures ensuring the appropriate care, use and humane treatment of animals being used for research, testing and education.

Biosafety and IBC

The IBC is responsible for reviewing recombinant or synthetic nucleic acid molecule research, research involving toxins, pathogens, and/or transgenic animals conducted at Marquette.

The use and possession of radioactive sources at Marquette is controlled and administered by the Radiation Safety Committee (RSC).
Device Safety
Device Safety

Device safety review is required if Marquette University faculty, staff or students are (a) manufacturing or fabricating a new device, or modifying a commercially available device AND (b) transferring the device to non-Marquette personnel.
