Manager of Environmental Laboratories

Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering

As Lab Manager for the Water Quality Center and Environmental Engineering Labs, Mike oversees a growing and diverse group of faculty, graduate students and undergraduates, keeping all well stocked to engage in water, wastewater and environmental engineering research in the facilities. He also holds title of Lab Safety Officer for the college, conducting regular safety audits to assure lab personnel throughout the college are upholding safe working and chemical handling protocols. Mike teaches Microbiology for Engineers lab sections.

Before joining Marquette in 2004, Mike's research projects involved environmental microbiology, biogeochemistry, bioremediation and molecular biology at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Michigan State University and Florida State University.
