Symphonic Band

The Marquette University Symphonic Band is open to all wind and percussion players who are enrolled at Marquette. This group requires a short, informal audition for seating only and welcomes all who wish to participate. While most students own their own instruments, the university does have an inventory of brass, woodwind, percussion and string instruments for use by students. The Symphonic Band is directed by Dr. Joel Flunker.

Rehearsals and Performances

The Symphonic Band meets Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 5 to 6:20 p.m. and performs in three major concerts on campus each year. The band gives one major concert per semester, in addition to other collaborative concerts such as the Music Area Holiday Concert in December.
