Welcome to Marquette! We are eager to welcome you and your family to the Marquette community, and offer you events and programs designed to help you support your student in the first year at Marquette. Parents and other family members of new first-year and transfer students are invited to attend Orientation on Thursday, August 27, 2020.
Family programs include move-in with your student, check-in for Orientation, the Family Liturgy at 3:00 p.m. at the Church of the Gesu and New Student Convocation at 4:30 p.m at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Common. Please note that seating is limited for the Convocation program and some views will be obstructed.
Area hotels tend to book quickly; out-of-town families are encouraged to reserve a hotel room well in advance. On-campus housing is not available for families during New Student Orientation.
Parking during family programming is complimentary. Families may park in either of the visitor parking structures on Thursday, August 27, free of charge. Simply identify yourself as an Orientation guest to the parking attendant.
