Welcome to Marquette!

We are eager to welcome you and your family to the Marquette community and offer you events and programs designed to help you support your student in their first year at Marquette.

New Student Orientation takes place from Wednesday, August 25 - Sunday, August 29 for all new students. Families are invited to join us for many optional programs on Wednesday, August 25 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. These programs include (but are not limited to) Information Tables, Church of the Gesu Tours, First Generation Student and Family Welcome, and more! We will conclude the day with a Family Liturgy (2:30 p.m.) and New Student Convocation (4:00 p.m.). Please plan to say "goodbye for now" to your student between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. We will take it from there!

Area hotels tend to book quickly; out-of-town families are encouraged to reserve a hotel room well in advance. On-campus housing is not available for families during New Student Orientation.

Parking during family programming is complimentary. Families may park free of charge in either of the visitor parking structures on Tuesday, August 24 and Wednesday, August 25.

Live Q&As

Through August 20, We are excited to host Live Q&As with many Marquette University campus departments. Each presentation will begin at 12:00pm (Noon) Central Time and will last approximately 30 minutes, followed by 15 minutes of questions and answers. Live Q&As are held via Microsoft Teams, and there is no need to register beforehand. If you are unable to join us, recordings will be available on our NSFP YouTube Channel.

In addition to the Live Q&As, join us for our Family Connection, held at 5:00pm Central Time on August 18. Family Connection is designed to serve as another networking opportunity for you to connect with other families in the Marquette community, including a panel of current Marquette parents ready to share their experience and advice with you!

Links for the Live Q&As and the Family Connections were sent via email July 12. Please contact newstudentprogs@marquette.edu if you are unable to find the links.
