SPARK (Summer Priority Advising & Registration Kick-off)

SPARK@Home offers students and their families the opportunity to prepare for their upcoming transition to Marquette University. Because health and safety are of the utmost importance for our students and their families, we are offering this program using virtual tools that students will continue to use during their journey as a Marquette student.

SPARK@Home is required for all first-year students to ensure that they are prepared to register for fall courses and begin their Marquette journey. Students will participate virtually in the required June sessions, and we invite family members to participate in our optional SPARK@Home Family Programs.

Download our SPARK@Home New Student Checklist to see what students need to complete in the week leading up to their SPARK@Home session. These items need to be completed by 5pm CDT the day before the SPARK@Home Session to be able to register for courses during SPARK@Home.

Review our Summer New Student Checklist to see what you should complete before fall!

SPARK@Home schedule for students is available via the Marquette Guide. Download the Marquette Guide app to your phone by going directly to the Apple iTunes Store or Google Play Store and searching for Marquette Guide! If you prefer to explore online, you can view Marquette New Student & Family Guide in your browser.

SPARK@Home for Families has many unique resources and videos created exclusively for families to enjoy while their student participates in SPARK@Home. Browse at your leisure on the webpage or the Marquette Guide.

Students will be utilizing web browsers and Microsoft Teams, which is available for Marquette students and can be used on laptops, Chromebooks, tablets and mobile devices. Prepare for fall semester by reviewing the Technology To-Dos for New Students from Marquette IT Services.

Students who have concerns about the technology needed for the virtual format of SPARK@Home are asked to complete this form for assistance.
