Policy

The hiring of Jesuit faculty is fundamental to our mission, highly encouraged and will be supported by the Office of the Provost through the following measures.

• The dean is responsible for communicating with the provost as soon as the opportunity for a Jesuit hire becomes available.
• The Office of the Provost will facilitate the reallocation of a faculty line and funding to support the hiring of Jesuit faculty.
• Bridge funding will be provided on a temporary basis for up two years.

The requirement for bridge funding will be communicated by the department chair and dean to the Office of the Provost.
