Shadow a Cadet Days
The overnight Shadow a Cadet Days provides high school juniors and seniors (16 years old and older) the opportunity to experience two days (one night) in the life of a Cadet. This is a great way to get acquainted with Army ROTC, meet current and prospective Cadets, and see the principles of scholar / athlete / leader in action. During the first day of the Shadow Days (starting at 6:00am) high school students will shadow a current Cadet with a major similar or identical to the one high school student is interested in, attend Army ROTC physical training, attend ROTC classes and regular university classes, eat in a university cafeteria and sleep in a residence hall, attend a ROTC information session, and enjoy both ROTC and university extracurricular activities. It ends on Friday with a joint Q&A with high school students, parents, LTC Kiriazis (the Professor of Military Science) and Mr. Reuben Sotolongo. All housing and food costs are covered.
Who can attend?
This opportunity will give high school students a perspective on the daily life of an Army ROTC Cadet and college student here at Golden Eagle Battalion (Marquette, UW-Milwaukee, Milwaukee School of Engineering, Concordia University Wisconsin, and UW-Parkside). However, we are limited to 20 slots (first come, first serve).
How can I participate?
If you wish to participate, please fill-out and return the below three forms (whether you are 16 through 18 years of age) for the semester you’re interested in attending. Scan and send the forms to Mr. Reuben Sotolongo. Additionally, more information will be sent out to those first 20 students that secured a spot. Here is a recommended packing list for those participating in Shadow Days.
