All Saints Parish Meal
Volunteers help set up, serve and clean up for this evening meal each Thursday from 5-7 p.m.
Volunteers provide assistance in numerous ways at this Catholic worker home for women and children. Volunteers for this site need to be self-starters and pitch in where needed. Volunteers serve on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30-8:30 pm.
The Cathedral Center is a shelter for women and children that is on Van Buren and Kilbourn Ave. Volunteers provide attention and tutoring assistance to the children in the center. Volunteer times are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30-6:30 pm.
Despensa de la Paz is a part of the Friedens Pantry organization and provides a food pantry with a community feel on the near south side. Volunteers serve on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to noon.
Friedens Community Ministries is a social service agency that provides nonperishable food to those in need across Milwaukee County. The pantry at the Coggs Center has Midnight Run volunteers on Mondays and Fridays from 1-3 p.m.
Friendship House is a transitional housing facility that provides shelter and support for women and children transitioning out of homeless shelters. Volunteer opportunities are Mondays from 4:30-6:30 p.m. and on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:00-7:00 p.m.
Volunteers help serve a breakfast meal and clean up at Running Rebels at 1300 Fond du Lac Ave. Volunteers are there from 7:00-10:00 a.m.
Volunteers make sandwiches at Cobeen Hall and serve at the Gesu Meal in the parish center behind Gesu Church. Volunteers work with Gesu parishioners in facilitating this meal. Opportunities available every 1st, 2nd and 3rd Saturdays, 4-6:45 p.m.
Guest House, 1216 N. 13th St., is a homeless shelter for men. Volunteers work with Guest House staff in registering guests and providing them basic personal care items as needed. Volunteers work Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 5:00-7 p.m.
MacCanon Brown’s Homeless Sanctuary is a developing social service site in the poorest ZIP code in the Milwaukee area (53206). Volunteers provide sandwiches and distribute clothing to guests of the center on Thursdays. Volunteer time is from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Noon Run is Midnight Run’s original service site. We currently partner with Redeemer Lutheran Church to provide wholesome lunches from Sunday through Friday. Volunteers can choose from two shifts, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. or noon-2 p.m.
St. Ben's Community Meal program is one of the first in the city and is located at 1015 N. 9th St. Volunteers help serve evening meals to hundreds of guests Sunday through Friday, 4:45-6:45 p.m.
Volunteers assist with serving evening meals and providing hospitality at these large meal programs for individuals and families on Milwaukee's near south side and on the north side. Volunteer opportunities available for Sunday, Wednesday or Friday from 5-7 p.m. at the south side site and on Monday through Friday at the north side site.
As its name might indicate, StreetLife provides street ministry to homeless. StreetLife takes place in the parking lot for Wells Fargo bank at 7th and Wisconsin from 10 a.m. until noon.
Volunteers share a meal with homeless veterans and interact with them at their weekly meeting each Thursday from 5-7 p.m.
