All Saints Meal

Volunteers help serve an evening meal and provide hospitality and clean-up at All Saints Parish, located at 4060 N. 26th St., Milwaukee, WI.  Volunteer opportunities on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30-6:30 pm, beginning week of October 5.

Frieden’s Pantries   Cogg’s Center/Dispensa de la Paz

Volunteers work with community volunteers to stock, maintain, and help provide food packages for guests. Cogg’s Center is located at 1220 W. Vliet Street in Milwaukee.  Mondays 7:45 -11:30 am; Wednesdays and Fridays 9:30-11:30 am.

Dispensa de la Paz is located at 1615 S 22nd Street in Milwaukee.  Volunteer schedule will be confirmed as COVID restrictions are lifted on site.

Friendship House

Friendship House is a transitional housing center for women and children located at 1029 N. Marshall St. in Milwaukee.  Volunteers provide attention and tutoring assistance to the children in the center.  Volunteers work Mondays from 4-6 pm and Thursdays from 4:30-6:30 pm.

The Gathering

Volunteers help serve a breakfast meal and clean up. The Gathering is located at The Running Rebel site, 1300 W. Fond du Lac Ave., Milwaukee, WI. Volunteer opportunities available Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays 7-10 am.

The Cathedral Center

The Cathedral Center is a shelter for women and children and is located at 845 N. Van Buren St., Milwaukee, WI, 53202. Volunteers provide attention and tutoring assistance to the children in the center. Volunteer times are Tuesday and Thursday from 3:30-5:30 pm.

Guest House

Guest House, located at 1216 N. 13th Street, Milwaukee, WI, 53233, is a homeless shelter for men. Volunteers work with Guest House staff in registering guests and providing them basic personal care items as needed.

Housing First

Volunteers will serve in a variety of capacities at this Milwaukee County housing agency including going on outreach runs, sorting and distributing donations, and participating in housing tenant meetings. Volunteer opportunities will be on Tuesdays from 1:30-3:30 pm at 600 W. Walnut St., Milwaukee, WI, 53212.

MacCanon Brown’s Homeless Sanctuary

MacCanon Browns Sanctuary is a daytime shelter for homeless persons located at 2461 W. Center St. in Milwaukee. Volunteers will be making sandwiches and serving lunch at the shelter. Volunteer schedule still pending (9/2021).

Parklawn Assembly of God

Parklawn Assembly of God is located at 3725 N. Sherman Blvd., Milwaukee, WI, 53216. Volunteers distribute meals to those who are food insecure. Sundays: 1:30 pm-3:30 pm. This site only meets on the second Sunday of each month, starting Sunday, 9/12.

St. Vincent De Paul - South

Volunteers assist with serving an evening meal and providing hospitality at this large meal program for individuals and families on Milwaukee's near South Side, 931 W. Madison St., Milwaukee, WI, 53204. Volunteer opportunities available for Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays from 4:30- 6:30 pm.

St. Vincent De Paul - North

Volunteers assist with serving an evening meal and providing hospitality at this large meal program for individuals and families on Milwaukee's North Side at All People’s Church, 2600 N. 2nd St., Milwaukee, WI, 53212. Volunteer opportunities available for Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursday, 4:30-6:30 pm.

St. Benedict the Moor Community Meal

St. Ben's "Loaves and Fishes" meal program is one of the first in the city. Located at 1015 N. 9th Street, Milwaukee.  Volunteers help serve evening meals to of guests Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursday, 5-6:45 pm.

Casa Maria Baby House

Volunteers will facilitate resource distribution to parents and caregivers of young children at Casa Maria Catholic Worker. Casa Maria is located at 1131 N. 21st St., Milwaukee, WI, 53233. Volunteers for this site need to be self-starters and pitch in where needed. Volunteers serve Mondays 11 am-1 pm; Wednesdays 10:30-12:30 pm; Fridays 11 am-1 pm.

Noon Run at Redeemer Lutheran Church

• Volunteers prep food and packing bags for guests of the Outdoor Pantry at Redeemer Lutheran Church. Volunteers serve on Thursdays: 10:30 am-12 pm.
• Volunteers distribute food to guests of the Outdoor Pantry at Redeemer Lutheran Church. Thursdays: 12 pm-1:30 pm.
• Volunteers serve sandwiches, soup, dessert, and a beverage to guests. Sunday shifts 11 am -1 pm, and 12-2 pm.

Noon Run is located at 631 N. 19th St., Milwaukee.

StreetLife

Street Life is street hospitality for the homeless at West Lawn Park on 64th St. and W Sheridan Ave., Milwaukee, WI. Volunteers will provide food and conversation to guests.  Volunteers serve on Saturdays from 10 am-12:00 pm.

Vet’s Place

Volunteers eat with residents of Vet’s Place, located at 3312 W. Wells St., Milwaukee, WI, and work with the veteran’s volunteer program. Volunteer schedule pending. Volunteer schedule will be confirmed as COVID restrictions are lifted on site.
