Career goals: Once I attain my Masters, I would love to work in the speech pathology clinic in a children's hospital, which is why I now volunteer at Children's Wisconsin. I also would love to work in a school. Overall, my goal is to help children develop to be the best they can be, wherever that would be.
Why did you choose the College of Health Sciences at Marquette? I had already known since I was little that I wanted to attend Marquette. I grew up near Marquette, and my family has been fans all my life. I applied to Marquette in Business but ended up switching to Speech Pathology a little before my freshman year started, after I had a heart to heart with my sister and she explained why Speech Pathology would be a great fit for me.
How did you pick your major/program? Like stated above, it was brought to my attention by my sister that this field would be perfect for me. It is a mixture of being a teacher, and being a healer, two things I would feel extremely rewarded from. Ever since then, I never looked back, and I have enjoyed every minute of the college I chose.
What is your favorite spot on campus? I love studying outside in front of the AMU. My friends and I grab a drink from the Brew, set up a picnic blanket outside, and will sit there for hours just talking and finishing our work for the day. Some of my best Marquette memories were created there.
