Tutoring Expertise and Passion
My name is Elena F. The pronouns I prefer to use are she/her/hers. I am studying Psychology and Literature Intensive English. This is my third year at Marquette. The writers I like are open to collaboration and my favorite genre to write is literature analysis. As a tutor I like to work on brainstorming appointments and strengthening arguments/analyses but I also enjoy working with a wide range of projects and writing.
Statement of Tutoring Philosophy
- This semester I hope to focus on bringing energy into my appointments and working with assignments that I might not necessarily be as familiar with.
- I also want to focus on working with writers to focus on support and changes that are unique to writing conferences and in doing so setting the writer up to continue their work/writing outside of the conference.
- I would also like to work on taking more notes in conferences this semester, both so that the writer has something to take with them away from the appointment and to help me figure out what strategy works best for me to engage with the writing.
