Third Street Market Hall ($)

3rd St. Market Hall is a hospitality-driven food hall housing diverse local cuisine, exceptional drinks, and engaging games. Their mission is to exhibit the deep traditions this city holds through serving Milwaukee a variety of cuisines and flavors. 3rd Street Market Hall has over 20 different food and drink vendors, and is a very casual and quick dining option located walking distance from campus! Milwaukee's Public Market ($)

Milwaukee’s Public Market is an industrial-chic marketplace offering local baked goods, cheese, meats, produce & prepared eats. With a good mix of ready-to-eat food, and raw ingredients, the Public Market is a great destination for a quick bite to eat! It is located in the Third Ward in downtown Milwaukee, just less than a mile away from Marquette’s Campus. More information can be found here.

 

Cafe Benelux ($$)

Milwaukee’s Third Ward meets the Lowlands of Europe—Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg—with a unique menu and atmosphere. Dine like a European with extensive streetside seating, take in views of Milwaukee on the rooftop deck, or cozy up in the Grand Café. Café Benelux is located in the Third Ward, just down the street from Milwaukee’s Public Market! Try making a reservation for a roof top table!

 

SafeHouse ($$)

SafeHouse is Milwaukee's iconic hidden restaurant and bar, providing safety to spies since 1966. Patrons looking for the restaurant can locate the Red Door in an alleyway, and provide a password for entry. Those who do not know the password will have to pass a fun clearance test to prove they are not a double agent. Once inside, you can explore each sector, eat delicious rations, and sip on handcrafted spy cocktails. SafeHouse is home to one of the world's largest mechanical puzzles, historical and pop culture references, and spy artifacts.

 

Tupelo Honey ($$)

Tupelo Honey is a revival of Southern food and traditions rooted in the Carolina Mountains. They offer many craft-cocktails, an extensive lunch and dinner menu, and an amazing happy hour! They are famous for their hot honey sauce, which pairs well with their crispy chicken sandwich and fries! Tupelo is also located in the Third Ward, very close to the Public Market. La Masa ($$)

La Masa is a buzzing tavern featuring a variety of oven-baked empanadas & Latin American mains, plus cocktails. La Masa is located on Brady Street in Milwaukee, very close to many other bars and restaurants. This is a great spot to try if you are looking for something different, and delicious! Barnacle Buds ($$)

Barnacle Bud’s is fun, outdoor restaurant located right on the Kinnickinnic River! It is a casual riverfront joint serving oysters, BBQ & Bloody Mary's in a beach-style shack with a patio. Botanas ($$)

Botanas is a casual cantina featuring Mexican fare, margaritas & more than 100 tequilas plus patio seating! Botanas is located in Walker’s Point, just south of Marquette’s Campus. Calderone Club ($$$)

Calderon Club is an up-scale old-world setting for thin-crust pies, made-from-scratch pasta, paninis & an extensive wine list. It has been a staple in Milwaukee’s food scene for decades, and is a great place for a special occasion. Located on N Old World 3rd Street, there is also plenty to do nearby!
