This committee will develop and implement opportunities for staff to serve the larger community as part of Marquette’s commitment to be “women and men for others.”
Opportunity to Serve the Milwaukee Community
May 24-June 4, 2021
For many years, University Staff Senate has led a volunteer chapter of Project Night Night, a national organization dedicated to serving homeless communities. Through this initiative, Marquette staff have generously helped assemble countless comfort tote bags including a book, blanket and stuffed animal for children in local shelters.
Due to COVID-19, the national Project Night Night organization has decided to reduce operations to its locality, focusing only on the San Francisco area. While University Staff Senate can no longer use the Project Night Night name, it is coordinating an opportunity for the Marquette community to Be The Difference for homeless individuals of all ages in the Milwaukee community.
Please join fellow employees across campus and contribute to a donation drive to show our care for many who rely on help through the following shelters:
- Casa Maria
- Cathedral Center
- Hope House
- Joy House
- Meta House
We will be collecting donations at the Alumni Memorial Union Information Desk on the 2nd floor from May 24-June 4, 2021. If you would like to assist with bringing donations to the shelters or are interested in donating through Amazon Wish Lists, please contact Edi Kuhn at email@example.com for more information.

Holiday Giving Tree
Marquette University has been part of this program for more than 25 years. There are many less fortunate than we are and this is one way we can help.
We have 100 Holiday Giving Tree tags remaining on the tree and welcome everyone to participate in this program to provide gifts for those who might not otherwise receive anything for Christmas. This year there is a special need for gifts going to Eras Senior Network, an organization that supports adults and seniors with disabilities. Please reach out to Karina Mendoza for more information and thank you for your interest and support.
