Discovery Learning Laboratory Learning Resources

Students are encouraged to direct their own learning inside and beyond the Discovery Learning Laboratory. Marquette staff are available for questions, design review, training and support. Shop training instructions are found on this webpage.

Equipment and machine manuals

Students are expected to familiarize themselves with equipment beyond the instructions offered during training (sign up for training). Relevant manuals and documents are available on Sharepoint to Marquette users at this link.

Please contact dlc@marquette.edu or speak to shop staff for further questions or to inquire about additional manuals.

Helpful content from Marquette staff:

A blog of additional advice and insights from Marquette staff will be made available soon. In the meantime, we welcome in-person discussions and questions.

Additional resources beyond Marquette:

Students are encouraged to browse the internet for additional tutorials, project ideas and insights. Engineers, machinists and makers from all over the world regularly share their work and ideas online, and it is a good practice for students to begin exploring the breadth of resources available.

Students are encouraged to speak with our shop staff to gain more recommendations of learning resources, helpful content and the latest developments that staff are following online.
