Library Technology Assistance
The Information Commons provides desktop applications for academic purposes. Staff are available at the Information Desk to assist patrons with beginning-to intermediate-level questions. Given the number of applications available, the staff cannot provide advanced tech support on a walk-in basis. We will however endeavor to provide referrals or arrange an appointment for you to meet with someone who may be more knowledgeable. Staff will guide patrons, offer advice on methods to maximize application functionality, and perform tasks as a demonstration of a function; however, staff will not complete a patron's work. During busy periods at the desk, priority will be given to short and urgent problems over in-depth training. Patrons who are novices with a software package should allow an appropriate amount of time to become familiar with the package and to complete their own work.
There are two ways to use library resources from off-campus: with VPN software provided by ITS, or by authenticating via the Library’s proxy server.
Campus IT Services offers a list of other computer labs available on campus.
There are 11 copier/printers in the Raynor Memorial buildings, including two color copier/printers. Check the floor plans for specific locations.
PrintWise is the software the University uses for the payment of all copying and printing charges. You can download this client onto your own computer, and then make print-outs using Library (or other university) copier/printers.
The library offers remote computer access to students, faculty, and staff with a current Marquette ID to allow use of the library's computers and software (including Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft Office, and more).
