The Marquette University Career Center Student Professional Development Fund is available to you as you pursue your goals. Students may be reimbursed up to $500 for professional development and career readiness. Let the Marquette University Career Center help you achieve your vision of success.

Student Professional Development Fund Guidelines

- Undergraduate and graduate students can apply for the Marquette University Career Center Professional Development Fund.
- Requests of up to $500 will be considered and must be career related.
- Academic costs are not covered by this fund.
- Priority will be given to those who have not been awarded funding in the past, income-eligible, and first-generation students.
- Please note reimbursements received through this fund will be reported to financial aid and might impact aid received.
- Applications for the Marquette University Career Center Professional Development Fund open at the start of the academic year in fall and close when funding runs out or at the end of the spring semester, whichever comes first.
- Complete the application. The Student Professional Development Fund has been depleted for this academic year. Please check back next fall.
- When applying, emphasize the relevance to your career goals and how the funds will help meet a financial need.
- Read application instructions carefully when filling it out.
- Applicants will be notified by email whether or not they have been selected.
We cannot fund any required academic costs, like training or textbooks required by class or an academic program. Potential examples that could be funded include:
- opportunities with professional organizations like conferences or networking events
- professional association memberships
- travel and lodging for professional opportunities
- necessary rideshare costs to an internship
- optional test prep materials
- application fees for programs like graduate schools, fellowships, etc.
- optional upskilling and certificate resources, like LinkedIn Learning, Coursera, etc.
