Sociology Student Award

The winners of the Rev. Bruce A. Biever Outstanding Sociology Student Award are outstanding seniors majoring in Sociology, as voted by the faculty and based on academic record, leadership, and university and community service.  

The David O. Moberg Scholarship is an annual award established to honor the legacy of Dr. Moberg, who taught at Marquette from 1968-1991.  He specialized in the sociology of religion and gerontology, and served the department as Chair for almost 10 years.  He had a strong interest in spiritual well-being. The David O. Moberg Endowed Scholarship is open to sociology majors based on academic record, leadership, university and community service, and financial need.
