Properly preparing for the year of service application process encompasses numerous factors. Starting this process early and having a good grasp on an organization's requirements will allocate you with the ability to meet, or possibly exceed, application deadlines.



NETWORKING

Networking with professionals affiliated with organizations of interest exposes you to other's experience and is greatly helpful in beginning and furthering your knowledge base.



APPLYING

Applying for a year of service could entail submitting professional documents, references and an application. These materials will provide an organization with the opportunity to evaluate your skills, abilities, accomplishments, and overall work and volunteer experience. 



INTERVIEWING

Interviewing is an educational institution's opportunity to question and evaluate your fit for their graduate program and their educational institution as a whole. This is a prime opportunity to display your capabilities and qualifications.



DECISION MAKING

Decision-making is the process of choosing between two or more courses of action. Graduate/ Professional school decision-making can revolve around choosing an ideal program, geographical location, or length of program.
