Research Interests

Professor Bjegovich-Weidman is currently engaged in a community health residency through the City of Milwaukee Office of African American Affairs (COMOAAA). Her role at the COMOAAA is in supporting the implementation of evidence-based health literacy strategies that are culturally appropriate to enhance COVID-19 testing, contact tracing, vaccination and/or other public health prevention practices in racial and ethnic minority populations and other socially vulnerable populations in the City of Milwaukee. Her current research interest is in exploring the impact of a Human Library program on implicit bias in nursing and health sciences students.
