Located at the Lemonis Center for Student Success, Marquette University's Career Center partners with undergraduate students, graduate students, and alumni to provide guidance for choosing a major, exploring career paths, engaging in enriching career-related experiences and, ultimately, pursuing lives with purpose.
Whether you are just beginning to uncover your interests, skills, and values or are ready to go after your next experience, there is something for everyone at the Career Center.
The Career Center is easy to access and available to you Monday through Friday:
- Office: 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Career Lab: no appointment, 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Scheduling Appointments

To schedule an appointment, you can stop by the Ask Me Desk in the Lemonis Center for Student Success. You can also schedule an appointment with Handshake. Handshake is Marquette University's career management platform, where students and alumni can schedule career counseling appointments, view upcoming events, and search job/internship opportunities from thousands of employers ranging from nonprofit startups to Fortune 500 companies. Wherever you're headed on your career journey, Handshake is the place to start.

Fund an unpaid internship through the Career Center. Apply to the Marquette University Unpaid Internship Funding Program. The maximum award amount is $2,000 per student. Learn more and apply here. The summer 2026 deadline is Thursday, April 16.
The Student Professional Development Fund has closed for spring 2026. Check back next fall. Requests of up to $500 will be considered and must be career related. Learn more here.

Whether you’re an international student looking to work in the United States or elsewhere, or a domestic student interested in working abroad, this platform has resources for you.
