Dr. Zaid Badr
Prosthodontics/General Dentistry
Dr. Zaid Badr is dedicated to helping patients achieve healthy, confident, and beautiful smiles. He brings a unique experience in esthetic and restorative dentistry, dental implants, and fixed prosthodontics. He adopts the latest digital dentistry technologies for precise and comfortable results.
His clinical services include dental implant planning and restoration, including precise digitally guided implant surgery and implant-supported crowns and bridges: same-day crowns and onlays, designed and fabricated using the latest intraoral scanners and in-office CAD/CAM systems; porcelain veneers to enhance smile esthetics and correct alignment issues; teeth whitening to correct teeth staining and discolorations; bridges and full-coverage restorations to replace or strengthen damaged teeth; occlusal guards for patients with clenching or grinding habits; and digital smile design and advanced restorative planning for predictable and esthetic outcomes.
Dr. Badr received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Jordan, where he also completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry program and a Comprehensive Clinical Course in Dental Implantology in conjunction with the German Society for Oral Implantology. He later earned his Membership Diploma from the Faculty of Dentistry of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. He completed his residency and Master of Science degree in Operative Dentistry at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Before joining Marquette University, he served on the faculty at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He now serves as Director of the Technological Innovation Center at Marquette, where he teaches the next generation of dentists how to integrate the latest digital tools into patient care.

Dr. Mary Cimrmancic
General Dentistry
Dr. Mary Cimrmancic was born and raised in Milwaukee, where she earned her B.S. in Dental Hygiene and D.D.S. degrees at Marquette University, before completing a Residency in General Practice at the V.A. Medical Center. Dr. Cimrmancic practiced general dentistry in private practice and community dental settings while teaching part-time at Marquette until 2011, when she came aboard as full-time faculty. She is now a Clinical Associate Professor and Comprehensive Management Group Leader. In addition to her teaching responsibilities in the clinic, Dr. Cimrmancic directs Dental Rounds and Head & Neck Anatomy courses, provides lectures in Oral Biology, Biomedical Systems, and provides laboratory instruction in Digital Dentistry. A member of numerous organizations, she is particularly active with the American Dental Association, Milwaukee Odontological Academy, Delta Sigma Delta, and Omicron Kappa Upsilon. Dr. Cimrmancic joined the Faculty Practice in September 2020, where she is happy to welcome her patients on Wednesdays.

Dr. Ay Bike Eke
General Dentistry
Dr. Ay Bike Eke received her D.D.S. degree at Istanbul University in Turkey. She worked as a general dentist for several years in a private dental clinic in Istanbul before moving to Milwaukee. She still practices general dentistry when she visits her country. In 2024, she completed her Master of Science degree in Dental Biomaterials at Marquette University. She is a Clinical Assistant Professor at Marquette University’s School of Dentistry. She welcomes patients on Wednesday and Friday afternoons in the Faculty Practice.

Dr. Jeffrey Janosik
General Dentistry
Dr. Janosik received his Bachelor of Science degree from Marquette in 1974 and went on to graduate from Marquette with his D.D.S. in 1978. Dr. Janosik practiced in Racine for 40 years while also committing to the future of dentistry by teaching part-time. He did this for several years before joining Marquette as full-time faculty in 2019. Dr. Janosik’s interests place high importance on metal free restorations, sleep apnea and facial aesthetics. Dr. Janosik is honored to be at Marquette making a difference for students, patients and staff. He welcomes patients on Thursdays in Faculty Practice.

Dr. Christopher Okunseri
General Dentistry
Dr. Christopher Okunseri received his dental training at the University of Benin, Nigeria. He worked for several years in Nigeria before receiving a Masters in Dental Public Health from Eastman Dental Institute. Dr. Okunseri moved to the United States and completed a residency program in Dental Public Health at Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University in New York. Dr. Okunseri is certified by the American Board of Dental Public Health, is President of the American Board of Dental Public Health and an active member of various associations. He is passionate about research for the underserved, disadvantaged and racial/ethnic minority populations and works tirelessly to secure funding for several foundations. Dr. Okunseri is a professor and Director of the Predoctoral Program in Dental Public Health at Marquette University’s School of Dentistry and an adjunct professor at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He can be found engaged in patient care on Tuesday afternoons and Wednesday mornings in Faculty Practice.

Dr. Altaf Shah
General and Special Care Dentistry
Dr. Altaf H. Shah received his bachelor's degree in dentistry in India and began his career as a Dentist with Jammu & Kashmir Health Department. Dr. Shah completed his Master of Science in Community Dental Practice from Kings College, London University and then a postgraduate clinical certificate in Special Care Dentistry from Eastman Dental Institute, UCL, London in 2009. He worked as a Faculty at College of Dentistry, King Saud University, Riyadh and Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University in Al-Kharj, Saudi Arabia before being an instrumental part in establishing a new dental school with Dar Al Uloom University, Riyadh. In 2018, Dr. Shah started the Special Care Dentistry clinics at the University Dental Hospital, King Saud University, the largest dental teaching institute in the Middle East and North African Region. Dr. Shah received a fellowship award from Special Care Dentistry Association in Columbus, Ohio and was inducted as a member of board of directors of the American Association of Hospital Dentists (AAHD) in 2022. Dr. Shah is currently an Associate Professor at Urgent & Special Care Dentistry Clinics and he welcomes general patients, as well as individuals with special needs and medically complex patients, on Monday and Wednesday mornings in the Faculty Practice.

Dr. Jorge Velasquez
General Dentistry
Dr. Jorge Velasquez is Colombian by birth, but grew up in Silver Spring, Maryland and is fluent in English and Spanish. He returned to Colombia to complete his degree in Dentistry at the Autonomous University of Manizales. After working as a General Dentist, he furthered his education by attending the Prosthodontic Program in Guadalajara Mexico and became Faculty in the Autonomous University of Guadalajara as Director of the Fixed Prosthodontic Department. Dr. Velasquez operated a successful private practice and was offered a Directorship of a Dental Hygiene program in Ft. Lauderdale which made Florida home for several years. He joined Marquette as Full-Time Faculty in 2018 where he assists students in designing best treatment options for complex cases. Fridays are dedicated to Faculty Practice where he delivers care to his patients for all their restorative needs.
