An official credit evaluation is conducted by the academic dean’s office during the transfer admission review. A credit summary report is available for admitted students to view through their Checkmarq account after official admission notification is sent. Some things to keep in mind about credit transfer:

  • Most Associate of Arts and Associate of Science degree credits transfer.

  • ACE and CHEA approved course work with a grade of "C" or better will be considered for transfer credit regardless of the method of delivery.

    • Transferred credit where the grade earned is less than "C" only applies toward degree requirements or prerequisites that do not require a grade of "C" or better.
  • All Marquette University graduation and undergraduate residency requirements must be satisfied.

  • The full undergraduate transfer credit policy can be found in our bulletin

We want your transfer to Marquette to go smoothly. Part of that is maximizing the amount of credits that will transfer from your previous institution(s). View our helpful planning resources to assist you through the process.
