Graduates of the sociology major are valued for their ability to assess how social class, race, gender, religion, age and physical ability affect our surrounding world. So what can you do with a major in sociology? Some of our students pursue careers in social services, higher education, human resources, policy, market analysis or government or nonprofit research, while others apply to graduate school to pursue advanced degrees. Many students also choose to combine sociology with degrees in health, education, criminology, psychology or social justice, depending on their career goals.
