At the beginning of each semester, you can learn more about getting involved at Organization Fest — commonly known as “O-Fest” — where our organizations, clubs and campus departments have students and staff available to answer questions.
We mean that literally and figuratively. You can explore Milwaukee’s three rivers and Lake Michigan with Club Sailing and the Rowing Club. Or build a concrete canoe with Marquette’s chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers. If you’re not one for the open water, there are nearly 300 other clubs and organizations for you to try instead.

Take center stage with one of Marquette’s singing groups, such as the Liturgical and Gospel choirs or the Gold ’n Blues and Naturals a cappella groups. Show off your moves in a troupe like Pure Dance, Dance Inc. or Ballet Folklorico. Or if you prefer working off camera, Filmmakers Association provides opportunities to practice pitching, directing, acting, scriptwriting, lighting, editing and sound design.

With nearly 40 service and advocacy groups on campus, Marquette students stay active in Milwaukee and its surrounding communities — and around the world. Whether you choose to join a group that makes local impacts such as Big Brothers Big Sisters or the Community Litter Elimination and Awareness Network (C.L.E.A.N.), or decide to join a service group that travels to areas in need such as Global Brigades or M.A.R.D.I. G.R.A.S., you’ll join 80% of the student body that gets engaged in the community.

Did you know? Spikeball, Inc. founder Chris Ruder, Comm ’97, turned a backyard game into a global phenomenon. Marquette’s Club Roundnet plays year-round and competes in tournaments across the Midwest.
