This winter, all members of the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities (AJCU) are participating in a new collaborative campaign to promote the values and benefits of a Jesuit higher education.
Through a new website and series of videos, prospective students, parents, and guidance counselors have a new, centralized gateway to learn about Jesuit colleges and universities in the United States, Belize and Canada: jesuiteducated.com. This website features campus profiles and links to all member schools’ websites; a comprehensive map; information on upcoming Jesuit college fairs; and firsthand perspectives from graduates who share how the values and ideals of a Jesuit education have impacted their professional careers and enriched their personal lives.
This outreach coincides with Catholic Schools Week (January 25-31) and will engage audiences through social media and digital advertising in advance of spring open houses and college recruitment fairs. It builds on a first-of-its-kind study commissioned by AJCU to help Jesuit colleges and universities understand public perceptions of Jesuit values, and to develop consistent, relevant messaging strategies to articulate their mission to current audiences.
Today, more than 2 million people worldwide are alumni of U.S. Jesuit colleges and universities. With a focus on critical thinking, leadership, academic excellence and scholarship, a Jesuit, Catholic higher education helps shape people “for and with others.” Its 500-year-old academic tradition founded by St. Ignatius Loyola prepares students to lead lives of purpose and service.
