Please note, the timeline below is for First-Year Applicants who plan to start classes in the Fall 2023 semester. Applications for the Spring 2023 semester are reviewed on a rolling basis starting in October.
Applications submitted to Marquette by December 1 are considered as on-time and are reviewed as part of the initial application pool. On-time applicants will receive an admission decision through their student status page on December 20. Late applications, (those received after December 1) will be reviewed on a space-available basis beginning in early January. Decisions for late applications are typically posted 2-3 weeks after an application is complete.
December 1
In order to receive an admission decision and a Père Marquette Award on our initial Decision Day (December 20) an application must be submitted and complete by December 1. Applications completed after December 1 will be considered on a space-available basis for admission and scholarship.
December 20
On-time applicants will receive admission notifications before the end of the calendar year through their student status page.
February – early April
Financial aid packages are posted to the student's CheckMarq account on a rolling basis beginning in February. Students are able to submit the FAFSA as early as October 1. We strongly encourage filing the FAFSA online no later than February 1.
February 1
Special scholarship programs at Marquette have a February 1 deadline. View complete information about Marquette scholarships, and apply online here beginning on December 20.
Mid-February – early April
Père Marquette Award decisions are included with admission notifications.
Final decisions on all special scholarship programs are mailed in mid-March. Some, but not all, special scholarship programs will notify semifinalists before mid-March to arrange for phone or in-person interviews.
May 1
Marquette follows the National Candidate Reply date, the day by which students must notify their colleges of their intention to enroll (or not enroll). You have until May 1 to submit your tuition and housing deposit to Marquette. Deposits are submitted through your student status page.
