Community Programming Council and RLLB

CPC: Community Programming Council logo

The Office of Residence Life is committed to providing opportunities for residents to connect with their peers, serve in the community, and gain valuable learning experiences outside of the classroom. Community Programming Councils provide this opportunity to any residence living in campus housing.

The Community Programming Councils are composed of students who live in the residence halls or university-owned apartments. Each residence hall has a CPC, and all of our apartments share one CPC. CPC is made of individuals who live in their respective hall/apartment. CPCs meet regularly to receive leadership training, discuss the needs of their specific community, and plan programming for their hall/apartment.

CPC Programs

CPCs were responsible for 30 programs in the residence halls this past fall (2025), including the Carpenter Tower Haunted House that frightened and thrilled over 200 students the past October.

CPC programming received an 82.0% satisfaction rating from residents in a recent survey. Students specifically appreciated the quality (82.2%) and variety (81.7%) of programs offered.

"I like the different events that my hall puts on, as I like being connected to my housing community."

New CPCs are formed each year with recruitment taking place in September and meetings beginning in October. However, CPCs welcome new members throughout the year, it is never too late to join!

Your Resident Assistant and Residence Hall Director/Complex Director are great resources for more information on how to get involved.
