Explorer Scholarship

In the spirit of Jesuit explorer Father Jacques Marquette, Marquette is pleased to announce the Explorer Scholarship.

This scholarship has been established in the spirit of exploration and discovery that was demonstrated by our university's namesake. Seeking to build upon the university's long history of drawing students from all over the United States, the Explorer Scholarship is presented annually to up to 12 high school seniors whose pursuit of exploration and self-discovery has led them to consider Marquette from areas outside of the Midwest.

This scholarship is renewable each semester of a recipient's four-year (eight-semester) undergraduate program, provided the recipient remains in good academic standing with their respective college. For additional program details about this award, review the applicable Award Information Guide, available from the Office of Student Financial Aid.

Lasting value. Lifetime values.

Marquette is consistently recognized as a best value in national media such as U.S. News & World Report and The Princeton Review. But there’s more to a Marquette education beyond a great return on your investment. As a Catholic, Jesuit university, we measure success in the hearts and minds of our students, seeking to engage in them a mindset that looks beyond themselves and toward the benefit of others. Men and women for and with others, as we say in our mission, who go into the world ready to Be The Difference.
