WHEREAS, the University Faculty Committee on Budgets and Financial Planning’s March 14 report finds evidence that, in recent years, operating and other resources have been spread more lightly across existing programs, posing additional challenges for these programs in times of budget shortfalls and subsequent cuts. Now therefore:
BE IT RESOLVED, that it is the sense of the University Academic Senate that the implementation of the new Strategic Plan should consider the needs of existing programs and buildings on campus in conjunction with the development of new initiatives.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the UAS requests that the Strategic Plan Core team report back to UAS regularly on the specific actions being taken in the context of the Strategic Plan to consider the needs of existing programs.
