Get Involved in "What Are We Building?"

You can engage in the “What Are We Building?“ communal discernment series in several ways during the 2026-27 academic year.

Organize Your Own Event

To expand engagement in this communal discernment, matching funds are available to individual units planning events connected to one or more of the guiding questions for the initiative, which focus on the relationship between humanity, technology, and the common good.

Matching funds can be requested:

  • Up to $250 for unit-level events
  • Up to $500 for college-level events (requires the dean's commitment to attend)
  • Up to $1,000 for university-level events (requires co-sponsoring with another unit in a different college/area of the university)

Please share details of your proposed event, a brief explanation of connections to one or more of the guiding questions, and your requested funding level in an email sent to Conor Kelly at conor.kelly@marquette.edu.
