Beyond MU: Lenten Reflection, Journey to Easter
Join us for a virtual Lenten reflection designed to help you pause and experience God’s presence through Scripture, silence, and guided prayer. Drawing on Ignatian spirituality and the Church’s sacramental imagination, it offers space for personal reflection amid the demands of everyday life.

Rev. Cathal Doherty, S.J., Ph.D. Associate Professor, Theology Department and Emmett J. and Martha Doerr Chair in Theology
Fr. Cathal Doherty, S.J., is the Emmet J. and Martha Doerr Chair in Catholic Theology at Marquette University. An Irish Jesuit priest, theologian, and former U.S. Army chaplain, his work explores how God communicates through word, symbol, and sacrament, especially amid the concrete realities of human life. His teaching and writing seek to bring theological depth into dialogue with lived experience, pastoral care, and contemporary spiritual questions.
