We are the proud parents of Sophia Mariani, a Marquette University senior graduating Spring 2026 with a degree in marketing and business analytics. Joining the Parent Family Leadership Council (PFLC) during Sophia’s freshman year has been one of the best decisions we have made. Our commitment to the PFLC even brought us to the fall meeting over Parent Weekend while Sophia studied abroad in Denmark during her Junior year.
From the first PFLC meeting we attended, we have found the entire Marquette community to be approachable, accepting and accommodating. Through the PFLC, we have built meaningful relationships with university leaders, faculty, staff, and fellow parents—connections that have inspired us to deepen both our involvement and our philanthropy.
Sophia has loved her four years in Milwaukee and so have we. We have cherished our visits for Parent Weekend and National Marquette Day. In addition, we have enjoyed cheering on the Golden Eagles at the Fiserv Forum. As a family from Northern New Jersey—900 miles away—the comfort of being able to call, text, or email a campus liaison has been invaluable.
The PFLC has given us an insight into the University’s vision, the campus life, special programs like On Your Marq and the 707 Hub, and tours of new facilities. Most of all, the PFLC has made us truly feel part of the Marquette community.
We are… Marquette!
