Dave Young is a seasoned insurance executive with 38 years of industry experience spanning underwriting, sales, financial management, and field leadership. He currently serves as Vice President – National Field Leader at Employers Mutual Casualty Company (EMC), a role he assumed in 2025 after serving as Regional Vice President overseeing EMC’s Central and Western regions. During his career with EMC, Dave has held a range of leadership positions, including Branch Vice President, Underwriting Manager, and Assistant Underwriting Manager. His broader industry experience includes leadership roles with Aon, Wausau Signature Agency, Zurich Insurance, and Liberty Mutual.

Dave holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Duke University and an MBA in finance and accounting from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He also holds the CFA, CPCU, ARM-P, AIAF, and AU professional designations. In addition to his industry leadership, Dave has taught risk management and insurance courses in the MBA program at Concordia University Wisconsin and has served on numerous insurance industry and community boards.

Dave and his wife, Patti, have four adult children and three dogs and live on Lake Pewaukee in Wisconsin. They enjoy outdoor activities including skiing, walking, boating and sailing.
