Golden Eagle Advantage Transfer Pathway

The Golden Eagle Advantage is a transfer pathway for St. Augustine Preparatory Academy (Aug Prep) graduates to earn a Marquette University degree. Aug Prep graduates first enroll at Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) and complete recommended transferrable coursework prior to transferring to Marquette University to complete their bachelor’s degree.

You are Marquette! Golden Eagle Advantage participants are part of the Marquette family from the start. While at MATC students will be able to use all the services MATC provides, and participants will also receive a Marquette ID, access to the MU libraries, opportunities to participate in Marquette clubs and sports, and exclusive invitations to Marquette events like basketball games and on-campus speakers.

With the help of our transfer advisor, students can transfer up to half of their MU degree from MATC, shaving off two whole years at Marquette. Typically, you will only have two years remaining at Marquette University. Participants will also be considered for scholarship and financial aid!

To ensure your success at MATC and a seamless transfer to Marquette, you will be assigned a peer mentor and have two academic advisors, one at the community college and one at Marquette. You will be well taken care of! Your peer mentor, who is a student that will have gone through the same process you're going through, will assist you as you transition to the college environment, navigate course registration, and learn the tips and tricks of being a college student.

By completing the participation form, you are submitting your interest in joining the Golden Eagle Advantage program. The participation form is not binding. Aug Prep students have until May 1 of their senior year to decide if the Golden Eagle Advantage is best option for their future.
