Apply to AIM
Applications for the 2026-27 cohort open August 14, 2026.
AIM Application 2026-2027
AIM is selective. Successful applicants show strong academic performance, clear interest in finance, and engagement with AIM programming before they apply.
Who Should Apply?
Students apply early in the fall of sophomore year. Both concentrations require a primary finance major and a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0. If your GPA falls below the minimum, you may still apply and submit a personal statement explaining your record.
What You Get
- A curriculum built on real work. You will value companies, build models, and defend recommendations in front of practitioners, not just study how it's done.
- Faculty who have done the job. AIM is taught by professors and Executives in Residence who spent their careers in investment management, banking, and private capital.
- A network that opens doors. AIM alumni work at firms across the country and stay closely involved as mentors, speakers, and recruiters.
- Recruiting support that matches the timeline. Technical preparation, interview readiness, employer visits, and trips to New York, Chicago, and other major finance hubs.
How to Prepare
Students who engage with AIM programming before applying are consistently more competitive.
- AIM Academy, Wednesday evenings during the academic year
- Ins and Outs of Wall Street, held each spring
- Employer events and information sessions announced throughout the year
These sessions build the technical skills, industry knowledge, and interview readiness the application process looks for.
Timeline
Applications open August 14 and close September 17. Super Saturday interviews are held September 26, followed by track interviews with the CFA and IBPC directors from September 29 through October 2. Decisions are made on October 5, and all applicants are notified October 6.
