The Diederich College of Communication houses Marquette University's fine arts minors (graphic design and studio art) in partnership with Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design in addition to the performing arts majors and minors. Any student at the university can participate in theatre shows or music programs.

Major

The college offers a major in theatre arts, allowing students to explore acting, directing, playwriting, production technology, stage management and scenic, costume, lighting and sound design to producing theatre productions.

Minor

The digital media and performing arts department offers several minors, including digital media, dance, film and media studies, music and theatre arts. Each of these minors has different requirements, ranging from 18 to 21 credit hours.
