Private outside scholarships are facilitated through the Office of Student Financial Aid and outside organizations. Spanning a variety of different disciplines, students should be aware that private offerings have different application requirements, deadlines and qualifications.

Must be registered as full-time students in North America. A full-time student is one who is carrying 12 credit hours per semester, trimester, or quarter. The F. Edward Hebert Armed Forces Health Professions Scholarship Program
Amount:  Full-tuition and monthly stipend

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen, be enrolled full-time and qualify to become a commissioned officer.  Student must be pursuing an advanced degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary science, psychiatric nursing, optometry or psychology.  The U.S. Army Medical Department will pay 100 percent of tuition for a graduate-level health care degree and a $2,000 monthly stipend.  Recipient is obligated to serve one year of active duty for every year the scholarship is received.
