Private scholarship opportunities

Private outside scholarships are facilitated through the Office of Student Financial Aid and outside organizations. Spanning a variety of different disciplines, students should be aware that private offerings have different application requirements, deadlines and qualifications.

Students must report all outside scholarships from sources other than the federal, state and university programs. Need-based aid may be reduced when a student receives a combination of need based aid and outside scholarships that exceed their financial need. In addition, a reduction of merit awards may occur if the total of all tuition-specific awards exceeds the total cost of tuition or if the value of all awards (including the outside scholarships) exceeds the total cost of attendance. The Lagrant Foundation Scholarship

Applicant must be a US. citizen, permanent resident, or DACA recipient. Must be a full-time student at a four-year accredited institution in the U.S., minimum 3.2 GPA, and major in a field of study that has an emphasis in advertising, marketing, or public relations.
