Dr. Clark joined Marquette University in 1985, after completing his graduate studies at the State University of New York at Binghamton (now Binghamton University). He was promoted to Associate Professor in 1994 and Full Professor of Economics in 2007. His expertise is in urban and regional economics with an emphasis on regional and local housing markets as well as household migration behavior. Of special interest is the role that local neighborhood characteristics play in the existing housing market.
Dr. Clark has worked on major government grant projects, including grants sponsored by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the National Science Foundation, and the U.S. Department of Energy. He has served as a consultant to a number of private firms and government agencies. Since 2001, he has served as a consultant to the Wisconsin REALTORS® Association to analyze their quarterly existing home sales and work with their staff to prepare quarterly press releases on Wisconsin housing activity.
