Management Instructor of Practice Emeritus

After starting in the newspaper business, Dr. McInerny spent close to 40 years in educational administration at both the secondary and collegiate level. He has worked in various capacities including sports administration, media relations, publication management, marketing, alumni relations and advancement within the university setting. Recent positions include serving as Associate Athletic Director at Marquette University and President of Dominican High School. Prior to joining the faculty full-time in fall 2014, he helped developed the sports leadership curriculum within the Masters of Leadership Studies program. Dr. McInerny lettered in soccer as an undergraduate and served as president of the M Club, the alumni letter-winners association. He also is a recipient of the Hy Popuch Award for Service to Marquette Athletics.
