How Do I Complete Preregistration Cheq?

Prior to registering for classes each term, students are required to complete a Preregistration Cheq in CheckMarq.  This allows students to complete their mandatory financial and academic integrity agreements in advance of their registration appointment time, leaving fewer steps to complete at the point of registration.

Students will receive an email when the Preregistration Cheq is available for each registration period.  The checklist can be accessed through a link in the email or by logging into CheckMarq.

Once Preregistration Cheq is complete, the Preregistration Cheq hold will be immediately lifted, and students may register for classes at the start of their appointment time.

To complete the Preregistration Cheq, please take the following steps:

Step 1: Log in to CheckMarq and click or tap the Tasks tile

Step 2: To Do List > Preregistration Cheq

Click or tap on To Do List in the left-hand navigation menu.  Select the Preregistration Cheq to-do list item for the term in which you plan to register.

Step 3:  Follow the Guided Steps

You will be taken through a series of guided steps, beginning with an introduction containing announcements about the registration process.

Use the buttons in the upper right-hand corner of the window to navigate through each step.



Step 4:  Academic and Financial Agreements

Please read through the Academic and Financial Agreements before accepting them.  After you have accepted the agreements, you can print a copy for yourself by clicking the Printable Page button at the bottom of the agreement.



You can also access your accepted agreement later by navigating to the Tasks tile and clicking or tapping Completed Agreements in the left-hand navigation menu.



Step 5:  Contact Information

During Spring and Fall Preregistration Cheq, you will be asked to confirm and, if necessary, update your contact information.  Keeping your current address and other contact information up to date in CheckMarq improves campus safety and ensures you receive all necessary notifications from the institution.


If your contact information changes after completing Preregistration Cheq, you may update it at any time by navigating to the Profile tile and selecting Addresses and/or Contact Details from the left-hand navigation menu.  (Follow this link for more information on updating your contact information with the University.)

Step 6:  Submit

When you have completed all of the steps, click or tap the Submit button.  You will be returned to the CheckMarq Student Homepage.  Your Preregistration Cheq hold will be immediately lifted, and you will be able to register for classes at the start of your enrollment appointment.

Please check the Tasks tile in CheckMarq to ensure that no other holds exist.
