The Business Career Center offers a variety of services and resources to our undergraduate students to prepare them for careers upon graduation. Our program is designed to provide a strong foundation of professional development experiences and skills that begins with career exploration their first academic semester in the College to career awareness, interview preparation, and career coaching, connections for internship and the job search strategies. These programs, activities and special events are intended to provide our students the experiences and skills to secure a position at an employer of choice upon graduation.
First year students start with career exploration as part of the first of three LEAD courses that is designed to provide an overview of the College and begin an examination of potential careers. As students progress throughout their academic studies and career exploration turns to career awareness and selection, resources and coaching are available from the Business Career Center and our partner, the MU Career Services Center. The Business Career Center in conjunction with the Career Services Center aids students in job search methods using jobs data bases and other media, including social media outlets, as well as the development and refining resumes, cover letters and interviewing preparation in preparation internship and job interviews.
