First floor lobby tables

On floor 1 of O’Brien Hall, there are two spaces for student organizations or employer guests to table for branding, promoting upcoming events, etc.  Each table can seat two hosts, and tables are set up on either side of the “honor hallway” (with black walls) to the north of the Swift Student Center and west of the O’Brien Hall Brew entrance.

  • Tabling is recommended between the hours of 10am and 2pm Monday through Thursday and reservations must be requested at least three business days prior to the preferred date.
  • Employers, before reserving a table, must review the Publicity & Events section on the Business Career Center’s On-Campus Recruiting webpage.
  • Student organizations: Promotional materials should be focused on upcoming club meetings, events, and ways to get involved. You should leave the table area clean and as you found it.  Finally, you may need to work with the student Welcome Desk employees to set up your table.
  • You may bring a table cloth, informational fliers, small branding giveaways, or set up signage/posts near your table.  When you arrive to table, the table will be set up with two chairs, and a sign welcoming your organization.
  • To reserve a lobby table
    • Employer guests should email businesscareers@marquette.edu with at least three days' notice.  In the email, include your preferred date to table along with two additional date options.  Please also include a short blurb describing their table, to be entered into a Handshake event for promotion (for example: "Stop by to meet representatives from XYZ Company to learn about opportunities in...).  If reserved at least two weeks in advance, the Business Career Center can include employer publicity table details in the BizCareers newsletter for students.
    • Student organization leaders should first complete a request form with AMU Event Services found on this webpage.  After providing your tabling request and information to the AMU, you will be able to schedule in O’Brien Hall.  If reserving at least two weeks in advance and you would like your table promoted through the Business Career Center BizCareers Newsletter: Once your table is scheduled you may email businesscareers@marquette.edu with a short blurb describing your table.
